When Michael Xu of Tackle2thePeople partnered up with Captain Camden Faria of Cambo Fishing Charters, their idea was simple: to create educational videos about the Blue Economy. However as the channel rapidly grew, more people started expressing interest in purchasing the fish featured in the videos.

 

In 2024 Michael and Camden formed Reel Direct Seafood - an ocean-to-table operation aimed at bringing daily catch to retail customers. Today, Michael and Cam have together grown their social media presence to over 1.5M followers, and sell their own catch every single week all around Massachusetts. More recently they've partnered up with Chef Jeremy Sewall of Row34 to offer an entirely unique charter experience, where clients can go out on a fishing trip and enjoy the very same fish they caught in a private dining experience prepared by a professional chef in Boston.
